Pi Foundation was set up in October 2009. It has been born out of five years of work by Pants to Poverty, a Fairtrade organic underwear brand which itself emerged out of the Make Poverty History Campaign in 2005. As a brand, Pants to Poverty is concerned with the integrity and transparency of their supply chain and in addressing the gaps and issues in their own supply chain they wanted to share their learning in best practice.(www.pantstopoverty.com).
